About the Role

Our client, a large-scale agricultural operation based in Benoni, Gauteng , is seeking a proficient and safety-conscious Farm Machinery Operator . This role is fundamental to the successful execution of various farming tasks, including land preparation, planting, cultivation, harvesting, and general farm maintenance. The operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a range of heavy farm machinery, ensuring all equipment is maintained in good working order. This position requires a strong understanding of machinery operation, adherence to schedules, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of work. The ideal candidate will be experienced with modern agricultural equipment and possess a keen eye for detail to ensure precision in all operations. This is a hands-on role requiring dedication and skill in the heart of Gauteng's agricultural landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate tractors, combines, planters, sprayers, and other farm machinery safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on machinery before and after use, ensuring they are in optimal condition.
• Execute tasks related to land preparation, including plowing, tilling, and harrowing, according to operational plans.
• Operate machinery for planting, seeding, and fertilizing crops with precision.
• Conduct harvesting operations using combines and other relevant machinery, ensuring minimal crop loss.

Requirements
