Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate plus National Diploma in IT (NQF level 6)
- 3 – 4 years of experience in transportation
Primary Function
- Operate the terminal of the AFC system in the control centre, receiving online sales data from the Automated Fare Collection (AFC), off-station top-up vendors, and BOC in feeder buses. Implement checks for technological consistency. Monitor data to identify issues, such as turnstile inadequacies.
- Report problems to the Control Centre Manager. Monitor the extent and nature of issues and propose solutions to the Deputy Director of Operations. Brief the Deputy Directors daily on interventions made.
- Generate weekly and monthly reports for the Deputy Director of Operations. Support the Fare Analyst in measuring revenue against operational costs, reviewing vendor reports, contract payments, adjustment formulas, and deposit reports to evaluate operational efficiency and fare accuracy.
