Placements24 is seeking a compassionate Family Support Practitioner to provide in-home services in Paarl and surrounding areas. You will support families with parenting guidance, child development, and access to local resources, while coordinating with social workers and educators to ensure holistic care.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in a related field, at least 3 years of experience, and the ability to conduct home visits with cultural sensitivity in the Western Cape.

Formación

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Early Childhood Development, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in family support, social services, or child welfare.
• Proven experience in conducting home visits and providing in-home interventions.

Responsabilidades

• Provide in-home support focusing on parenting, child development, and household management.
• Conduct needs assessments and develop individualized support plans.
• Facilitate access to community resources and services (healthcare, education, social welfare).
• Offer emotional support and counseling to families under stress.
• Run parenting workshops and group sessions to build peer support networks.
• Collaborate with professionals to ensure holistic family support.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records and progress notes.
• Advocate for families within the community and service systems.
• Promote positive parent-child interactions and healthy family functioning.
• Contribute to program development and evaluation based on client feedback.
