Job Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical, intellectually curious, and investment-savvy Family Office Investment / Wealth Manager with over 10 years of experience to serve as a trusted advisor to Family Office clients in the Cape region.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide bespoke wealth management advice to clients/families with a minimum net asset value of R250 million.

The successful candidate will play a central role in the design, execution, and ongoing oversight of a globally diversified portfolio for multi-generational families. Responsibilities include managing and growing a portfolio of ultra-high-net-worth/Family Office clients, trusts, investment holding companies, and businesses, servicing their local and offshore investment and fiduciary needs. The role also involves formulating a client acquisition strategy, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external lead providers, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic client solutions covering investment, advisory, banking, and lending requirements.

Job Description
  • Portfolio Management: Ensure client portfolios are managed according to the recorded mandate and aligned with strategic asset allocation guidelines. Conduct regular client reviews, manage portfolio performance, and execute client requirements with proactive engagement.
  • Business Development: Focus on client acquisition to meet financial and new business targets annually. Develop strategies to grow assets under management, emphasizing the growth of annuity income, upfront fees, and advisory income.
  • Risk Management: Ensure portfolios meet risk management standards in compliance with guidelines and established advisory processes.
  • People Management: Coach, mentor, and manage administrative support staff to achieve business objectives and support colleague development where applicable.
Education

Bachelor's Degrees and Advanced Diplomas in Business, Commerce, and Management Studies are required.
