Job summary

ADvTECH is seeking a Foundation Phase educator to deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress and maintain high standards of safety and professionalism. The role requires 2–5 years of teaching experience, an undergraduate degree in ECD or B.Ed (Foundation Phase), and SACE certification.

PGCE and police clearance are advantageous. The successful candidate will contribute to a learning environment that supports mastery, fosters partnerships with parents and the community, and upholds

Qualifications

• An undergraduate degree (NQF level 6) in ECD or B. Education (Foundation Phase).
• A PGCE would be necessary if the degree is deemed suitable viz Psychology.
• SACE certification and a police clearance are requirements.
• 2-5 years Teaching Experience.
• Computer and digital literacy.
• First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Foundation phase learning experiences to stimulate and grow individual talents.
• Assess and report on student progress and performance.
• Manage student behaviour and uphold school safety policies.
• Represent the school brand and communicate with the community.
• Handle administrative tasks and school records.
• Maintain health and safety standards across the campus.

Duties

Foundation phase educators will create a learning experience to stimulate and grow individual talents and equip children with the requisite basic education skills in the areas of reading, literacy and numeracy amongst others. They will need :-
