A leading FMCG company based in Midrand is looking for a hands-on Factory Financial Manager. The main purpose of this role would be to provide financial and legal advice to Senior Management and ensure compliance with applicable laws and legislation.
POSITION INFO :
Minimum Requirements :
- Minimum of 5 years in a Financial Manager / similar position
- BCom Accounting
- CPA Accreditation will be advantageous
- In-depth experience with activity analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance
- High-level understanding of accounting regulations and practices
- Strong systems control, organizational, communication, and process improvement experience essential
- Experience with integrated operational systems essential
- High-level knowledge of standard Microsoft packages essential (Excel and Word)
- Exposure to Accounting Packages such as Microsoft Dynamics will be advantageous
Duties and Responsibilities :
Financial Management and Reporting :
- Manage the annual financial targets and performance set against business plans, targets, sales results, EBITDA, cost control, and pricing.
- Prepare and analyze weekly management accounts, adhering to strict deadlines.
- Preparation of fully detailed annual budgets.
- Validate actual versus budget variance reports including full details of variances
- Preparation of actual versus weekly reporting and explanations for variances.
- Preparation of forecasting and planning for the facility.
- Oversee stock integrity, and review stock reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare fully detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
- Oversee correct allocations of all costs for the business.
Company Secretarial and Compliance duties :
- Ensure adherence to organization policies and procedures, especially regulatory and ethical standards.
- Perform regular audits, design control systems, and help to design and implement company policies
- Drafting and reviewing customer and supplier contracts
- Dealing with banks regarding standard terms and conditions, contracts, and loan documents.
- Providing legal advice and support to the business to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
- Research of legislation, regulation, and the general laws of South Africa
- Development, maintenance, and rollout of contracts, policies, and guidance documents
- Providing the Company with best practices and advice on financial matters
- Company Secretarial Compliance and Oversight (CIPC compliance)
- Management of stock and stock controls to minimize risks associated with inventory.
- Implement and maintain company policies in terms of financial risk and the mitigation thereof.
- Timeously report on risk issues.
