Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Facilities Sanitation Manager to oversee all sanitation operations across its Welkom facilities. This leadership role is essential to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety, and to develop and monitor sanitation programs.

You will lead a team of sanitation staff, ensure regulatory compliance, manage procurement and budgeting for cleaning supplies, and drive continuous improvement through regular inspections and training.

Qualifications

• Requirements include proven experience in sanitation management or supervisory role within facilities management or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation techniques, and infection control principles.
• Experience in developing and implementing sanitation protocols and training programs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively for the sanitation department.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive sanitation policies and procedures for all facilities.
• Manage, train, and supervise a team of sanitation workers, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Ensure compliance with all local, national, and industry-specific health and safety regulations.
• Oversee the procurement, inventory management, and proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the effectiveness of sanitation programs and identify areas for improvement.
• Investigate and resolve any sanitation-related issues or complaints promptly and effectively.
