Job Description
Project Management
- Prepare project proposals, timelines, schedules, develop and manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure that all aspects of the project align with organizational goals and safety regulations.
- Liaise with contractors to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives
- Issue all appropriate legal paperwork
- Coordinate activities, resources, equipment and information in line with the project scope and definition
- Use project management tools to monitor working hours, budget, plans and funding spend
- Monitor and track the project’s progress and handle any issues that arise
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
- Form the link between the Manufacturing facilities team and Plant Engineering team relating to site work specific to facilities – facilitate the work where and as required.
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status adequately to all participants
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Participate in regular core team meetings in line with the overall project status and deadlines
Maintenance Oversight:
- Take responsibility for Preventive Maintenance updates based on the performed projects – support Maintenance
- Oversee the maintenance of facilities, ensuring that all systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) are functioning properly and efficiently.
- Lead on behalf of the PE Manager , all substation and electrical power related work (example substation maintenance, upgrades, energy saving initiatives and related projects).
- Responsible for the optimization of preventive maintenance jobs based on break down analysis and findings – support Maintenance
- Lead, setup and participate in cross-functional team meetings and participate in project completion talks
- Any other reasonable duties as required.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure that all projects comply with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards. Ensure full compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Act for all machinery & electrical distribution systems.

Qualifications
- National diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Automation Technology or equivalent project professional experience + hold a valid Certificate of Competency (GCC) regarding the Machinery & Occupational Safety Act
- 5 years + Experience in automated plant and project management in the automation portfolio desirable
- Previous experience in cooperating with Project Managers for the delivery of projects
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and of project management tools
- Resilience, flexibility, teamwork, cost awareness.
