Job description

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage the hospitality staff, delegating tasks and duties.
  2. Monitor safety and ensure cleanliness of buildings and work environments.
  3. Perform routine inspections and maintenance of buildings, interior and exterior.
  4. Plan and initiate repairs and maintenance timely to prevent deterioration.
  5. Schedule emergency repairs with external vendors.
  6. Ensure all security measures are in place, collaborating with security companies and addressing faults.
  7. Plan and oversee projects within timescales and budgets.
  8. Coordinate facilities resources and operations as required.
  9. Manage service maintenance agreements and vendor execution.
  10. Work with procurement to source the best value and implement cost savings.
  11. Implement a planned preventative maintenance program for all plant and equipment.
  12. Monitor and manage contracted services, obtain quotations, and prepare work orders.
  13. Supervise maintenance staff to ensure performance and policy compliance.
  14. Administer the expense portion of the annual budget and prepare operational reports.
  15. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  16. Maintain daily operations and efficacy of facilities, plant, and equipment.
  17. Create reporting structures for maintenance, repairs, and incidents.
  18. Plan for weather-related changes and repairs.
  19. Manage vehicle servicing schedules and oversee fleet management.
  20. Collaborate on budgets for refurbishments and renovations.
  21. Manage equipment and supplies to meet safety standards.
  22. Inspect buildings and recommend repairs or refurbishments.
  23. Review utility consumption and develop cost-saving measures.
  24. Supervise facilities staff and external contractors on-site.
  25. Oversee parking, waste disposal, and security arrangements.
  26. Plan office space and handle insurance claims.
  27. Sourcing and overseeing contracts for catering, cleaning, security, and technology services.
  28. Advise on measures to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  29. Supervise teams across divisions and ensure proactive maintenance.
  30. Handle emergencies and ensure facilities meet compliance standards.
  31. Forecast future facility needs and assist with office relocations.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • An advanced certificate, diploma, or bachelor's degree in relevant fields.
  • 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance and management.
  • Proven project management track record.
  • Experience with asset, plant, and equipment management.
  • Experience working with landlords, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Involvement in legal contracts and procurement.
  • Technical skills in maintenance, installation, and repairs.

Package & Remuneration: Basic Salary R10,000 - R17,000.
