Purpose of Role

The Facilities Manager is responsible for managing the new site, overseeing cleaning, security, maintenance, and general upkeep.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Maintenance Management: Tracking the ratio of planned maintenance versus reactive maintenance to ensure assets are well-maintained and downtime is minimized.
  2. Work Order Completion Time: Monitoring the time taken to complete work orders to assess efficiency and resource allocation.
  3. Client Satisfaction: Measuring client satisfaction to ensure the services provided meet the needs and expectations of the occupants.
  4. Energy Consumption: Keeping track of energy usage to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  5. Cost Management: Managing and reducing operational costs, including utilities, maintenance, and repairs.
  6. Asset Availability: Ensuring that critical assets are available and functioning when needed.
  7. Space Utilization: Optimizing the use of available space to improve productivity and reduce costs.
  8. Safety and Compliance: Ensuring that all facilities comply with safety regulations and standards.

Essential Skills

  • Matric Qualification/NQF Level 4 Qualification
  • Facilities Management qualification or an equivalent
  • 1-3 years minimum proven management experience in a senior Facilities Management role
  • Health & Safety experience
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and maintenance procedures
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency in maintaining operational budgets and resource management

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working in a Contact Centre environment
