Job Title: Facilities Manager - Commercial
Location: Gauteng, Johannesburg

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manpower allocation, assessment, and performance management.
- Supervise and coordinate all maintenance services and repairs related to the building and equipment.
- Handle emergencies and ensure backup is available for corrective actions.
- Implement maintenance and procurement of materials, schedule installations, and oversee repairs ensuring safety and timeliness.
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs for utilities, equipment, and building systems.
- Conduct in-service training and enforce safety regulations and programs.
- Maintain records of equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, staff rotations, overtime, and related matters.
- Manage and report on the project budget.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the National Facilities Manager.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of customer care and health and safety issues.
- Ability to analyze data, exercise judgment, and develop long-term plans.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents and instructions.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to handle practical situations with limited standardization.
- Decision-making capabilities, including timely and sound judgments.
- Effective planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Responsibility, responsiveness to management, and commitment to quality.
Relevant Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ senior management experience in facilities management.
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Experience in stock control management.
- Experience in real estate sector.
