Job summary

Work Africa seeks a Facilities Manager for Cape Town CBD to lead a broad range of FM, admin, and technical tasks in the Property Management department. You will oversee a portfolio of buildings and ensure service delivery, compliance, and tenant satisfaction.

The role emphasizes lease/SLA management, site inspections, and coordination of maintenance, with a focus on proactive risk management and accurate monthly reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage lease agreements, conditions, and SLA management for internal and external SPs.
• Proactively oversee scope of works and ensure services are delivered.
• Supervise facilities coordinators and ensure quality of work.
• Maintain building maintenance and action ppm schedules.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks on repairs.
• Monitor lease condition deviations and address tenant concerns.
• Coordinate meetings with tenants and guide site personnel on deliverables.
• Visit tenants and establish mutually beneficial relationships.
• Prepare and supply accurate monthly reports and readings.

Job description

FACILITIES MANAGER / CAPE TOWN CBD – This role will be responsible for a broad range of facilities management, administrative, technical, and support functions within the Property Management department. This entails leading & managing a portfolio of buildings as well as an FM.

RESPONSITILITIES

Facilities Management:

• Managing Lease Agreements, conditions, and SLA management of internal & external SP’s.
• Proactively Manage the scope of works; ensure services are delivered
• Manage and monitor the facilities coordinators
• Ensure the SLA, quality, and standard of work are delivered.
• Ensure building maintenance is up to date within prescribed turn-around times.
• The ppm schedules are actioned.
• Conduct site inspections.
• Ensure quality checks are done on maintenance/repairs.
• Monitor and report on any deviations of the lease conditions.
• Handle tenant complaints and/or redirect appropriately
• Ensure meetings are conducted with the tenants
• Ensure all personnel on relevant sites are managed & have a clear understanding of their deliverables.

Customer Service Management:

• Visit tenants within the portfolio.
• Establish and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with tenants.
• Communicate with tenants to ensure day-to-day satisfaction.

Reporting:

• Prepare and supply accurate monthly reports
• Ensure monthly readings are submitted to the relevant department.

Utility & Management:

• Ensure that any faults and tampering are reported.
• Report on receipt of disconnection notices.

Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with relevant Acts.
• Proactively control, manage, and govern the processes and systems
