Job summary

Palala Boutique Game Lodge & Spa seeks a hands-on Maintenance & Facilities Manager to lead the full maintenance function of the lodge property. You will safeguard safety, compliance, and operational efficiency to keep guest experiences seamless.

You will oversee infrastructure, equipment, and grounds, manage a team and external contractors, control the maintenance budget, and drive sustainability initiatives while ensuring the property remains beautifully presented and fully functional.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality maintenance management.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Driver’s license and willingness to be on call.
• Ability to manage budgets and control costs.
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and staff housing.
• Lead maintenance team and coordinate contractors.
• Manage procurement, stock, and vendor relations.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and environmental practices.
• Support guest experience by rapid response to issues.
