Placements24 is seeking a conscientious Facilities Maintenance Cleaner to join the Mossel Bay team in Western Cape. The role focuses on upkeep, cleanliness, and presenting premises professionally, with daily responsibilities spanning general cleaning and routine maintenance.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage daily cleaning schedules efficiently in a dedicated facilities management environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or facilities maintenance is required.
• Knowledge of various cleaning methods and safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and complete tasks efficiently.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and window cleaning in all assigned areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas, replenishing supplies as needed.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste and recyclables according to site policies.
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks, reporting issues to the supervisor.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are stored correctly and maintained in good condition.
• Respond to immediate cleaning requests or emergencies to maintain site safety.
