The Engineering Department requires a committed, hardworking, and trustworthy individual to join as a Facilities & Maintenance Coordinator.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities (not limited to) :

Coordination and Oversight :

Schedule and manage outsourced maintenance and repair services across four Gauteng yards (PTA, ELF, KNT, SCD).

Ensure timely repairs by coordinating with vendors and contractors.

Follow up to verify completion and quality of work.

Communicate effectively with site Engineers about maintenance status and issues.

Quality Control :

Conduct quality checks post-repair to ensure compliance with standards.

Report discrepancies or substandard work for corrective action.

Maintain logs of tasks, including dates, contractors, and materials.

Bathroom Maintenance :

Address plumbing issues such as leaks and blockages.

Replace toilet seats, shower heads, and faulty pipes.

Perform surface repairs like retiling and repainting.

Office Maintenance :

Replace faulty lighting and electrical fixtures.

Paint and maintain interior walls.

Replace damaged tiles and hang fixtures like whiteboards.

Coordinate repairs of air conditioning systems.

Oversee door and hardware maintenance.

Security and Surveillance :

Maintain CCTV cameras and adjust for optimal coverage.

Address faults in electric fencing and coordinate repairs.

Yard and External Areas Maintenance :

Manage repairs to roller doors and external lighting.

Ensure outdoor lighting and mechanical features are functional.

Server Room Maintenance :

Repaint walls and organize server infrastructure.

Qualifications :

Valid South African driver's license and willingness to travel between sites.

Technical or trade qualification in mechanical, electrical, or facilities management is advantageous.
