Job description

Matric with at least 5 years of experience in fabrication.

Proficient in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential.

Knowledge of Syspro will be advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and leadership to the departmental team to achieve high-quality productivity and safety standards
• Ensure compliance with production schedules, process quality, efficiency standards, budget, inventory, and data reporting (stock take)
• Plan production meetings, worker schedules, production activities, machine maintenance plans, and maintain product quality and budgets, especially if there are delays
• Develop and monitor maintenance simplification, and request preventative and/or corrective maintenance for machines and equipment to keep them in optimal condition
• Review and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and arrange replacements as needed
• Ensure all employees use PPE correctly
• Maintain adequate supplies of departmental shop materials and ensure proper maintenance of equipment, tools, and housekeeping
• Facilitate clear communication between divisions and departments to ensure harmonious production
