Job description

Manage activities and supervise employees involved in departmental operations. Ensure processes, production requirements, and product quality meet customer needs. Follow the production plan set by the PCP department to ensure smooth production. Strategically plan and organize employees and equipment to achieve departmental success.

Qualifications and Experience

• Matric with at least 5 years' experience in fabrication.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Knowledge of Syspro is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to achieve high-quality productivity and safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with production schedules, quality standards, efficiency, budget, and inventory management.
• Plan production meetings, worker schedules, and maintenance plans, especially to recover delays.
• Develop and oversee maintenance plans to keep machinery in optimal condition.
• Review and ensure proper use of protective equipment and replace when necessary.
• Maintain adequate supplies and ensure proper equipment and housekeeping.
• Facilitate effective communication between departments to ensure harmonious production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
