Job description

Manage activities and supervise employees involved in departmental operations. Ensure that process, production requirements, and product quality expectations are met, satisfying customer needs. Follow the production plan set by the PCP department to ensure smooth operations. Strategically plan and organize employees and equipment to achieve departmental success.

Qualifications and Experience

• Matric with at least 5 years’ experience in fabrication.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of Syspro is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to achieve high-quality productivity and safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with production schedules, quality, efficiency, budget, inventory, and reporting.
• Plan production meetings, worker schedules, machine maintenance, and quality control, especially when catching up on delays.
• Develop and oversee maintenance activities to keep machinery in optimal condition.
• Review and instruct on the use of protective equipment, ensuring safety compliance.
• Maintain supplies and ensure proper equipment, tools, and housekeeping.
• Facilitate effective communication between departments for harmonious production.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
