The opportunity

EY is on a journey to transform its positive impact by becoming an accelerator of sustainable, inclusive growth, advancing innovation and practices that enable as many people as possible to contribute to, and share in the benefits of, economic growth. This includes significantly increasing our social impact, operating responsibly across all aspects of our business, and combatting climate change.

EY Ripples is our global corporate responsibility program that mobilizes EY people to participate in skilled volunteering. The Global Corporate Responsibility (GCR) team takes a consistent, global approach to engage and inspire thousands of our people to give their time to work with beneficiaries, applying and developing their professional knowledge, skills and experience.

Consistency is achieved by focusing on four strategic areas:

  • AI for Good: We harness AI's transformative power to accelerate positive social and environmental impact through AI-led collaboration and innovation. We focus on AI for Entrepreneurship, AI for Education and AI for the Environment, while building trust in AI across all generations.

  • Skilling & Future Workforce – We empower individuals, communities, entrepreneurs and nonprofits with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in an AI-powered economy. We mentor the next generation workforce including young people and underserved groups to develop the mind‑set and transferable skills they need most to find and sustain meaningful work in a transformative age, better equipping them to adapt and thrive in whatever the future of work holds

  • Sustainability: We leverage the transformative power of environmental initiatives, entrepreneurship and technology to combat climate change, protect biodiversity and foster sustainable practices for a healthier planet.

  • Access & Inclusion: We support individuals, entrepreneurs and nonprofits to foster a world where opportunity grows because everyone belongs. Through new skills, experiences and knowledge, we're shaping a future that is open to all.

Skill-based (and unskilled) volunteering opportunities that are available to our people center on these strategic focus areas, ranging from virtual mentoring or preparing learning materials, through to full day facilitation, building relationships and taking part in immersive projects for up to sixteen weeks.
