Job summary

ESG Recruitment Limited is seeking a hands-on Extrusion Operator to support the HDPE production line in Gauteng. The role covers material handling, equipment monitoring and collaboration with Quality and Maintenance teams.

The ideal candidate has Grade 12 and 1–2 years in manufacturing, with basic mechanical aptitude and a willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime. Training on safety practices and PPE is provided.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent.
• Technical/vocational training advantageous.
• 1–2 years' experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, handle and replenish HDPE materials and regrind.
• Assist start-up, operation and shutdown of the extrusion line.
• Monitor production equipment and report abnormalities.
• Support product cutting, sizing, winding and handling.
• Assist with machine and tooling changeovers.
• Follow safety procedures, PPE and LOTO requirements.
• Maintain clean, safe and organized work area.
• Record production data and scrap reports.
