Job description

We are seeking a results-driven Consumables Account Manager (External) to manage and grow sales of consumable products within an assigned territory. This field-based role requires frequent customer interaction and travel to promote, demonstrate, and support consumables solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong consultative sales experience and a deep understanding of the client's operational needs and how our consumables enhance productivity, safety, or efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute territory sales plans to meet or exceed sales targets for consumables products.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within assigned accounts and new prospects.
  • Build strong relationships with procurement professionals, end-users, and key decision-makers.
  • Conduct regular client visits, product demonstrations, and training sessions.
  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge and stay up to date on industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (technical support, customer service, marketing) to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and deliver professional presentations and proposals.
  • Utilize CRM tools to track customer interactions, manage pipeline, and report on progress.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and promotional events as required.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
  • 2–3 years of sales experience, ideally in the office automation industry.

Package & Remuneration

Salary: R25 000 per month (basic salary plus commission)
