Job description

External Sales Representative (Automotive) – Johannesburg.

Chase new business and grow existing accounts in the automotive aftermarket. You’ll be selling protective films, tools, and chemicals to fitment centres, dealerships, and more.

Salary: R15 000 basic + Uncapped Commission + Cell Allowance + Fuel Reimbursement.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric
  • 2–3 years external sales experience
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
  • Confident cold caller and new business hunter
  • Comfortable with road travel (Johannesburg and occasional regional trips)
  • Automotive aftermarket exposure a plus
  • Great with people and tight parking spots (you’ll be working from a mobile showroom)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sell directly to fitment centres, car dealerships, signage shops, and detailers
  • Inherit a small client base and grow it through consistent cold calling and visits
  • Build long-term client relationships — this isn’t a quick-sale role
  • Train alongside experienced reps to get product-savvy
  • Operate from a van-based mobile showroom and in-store where needed
  • Travel regionally for up to 3 nights/month
  • Report to Sales Lead and attend check-ins regularly
