Job summary

A leading company in the steel industry is seeking a Sales Representative to generate leads and build customer relationships. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in sales within the steel industry and a National Senior Certificate. Responsibilities include identifying opportunities for growth and providing customers with necessary stock information.

• Must have a valid driver's license and own reliable transportation.

Job description

• Must have a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years sales experience within the steel industry
• Experience in dealings with flat steel would be advantageous
• Excellent reporting skills and communication skills with customers
• Must be self-driven and motivated
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively whilst under pressure
• Must have a valid driver's license and own reliable transportation

The successful candidate will be responsible for :

• Working through specific targeted areas with a focused approach on identifying viable leads and opening new accounts.
• Performing online research to generate new leads.
• Reporting on activities and continually engaging in follow-ups.
• Identifying opportunities for company growth.
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships with new clients.
• Providing customers with information on current and incoming stock.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, product offerings, and pricing.
• Analyzing and sharing information related to the market, competition, pricing, and all other developments within the steel sector.
