Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing clientele, providing support, information, and guidance.
  2. Visit distributors and installers on a regular basis, ensuring that our service levels are met and maintained.
  3. Ensure that all reseller outlets are well represented with company displays, brochures, posters, and that they are always up to date and functional.
  4. Draw and prepare sales reports from SAP. Plan a sales strategy from these reports to achieve monthly targets.
  5. Prepare your clients' visits one week in advance and discuss with the Branch Manager weekly.
  6. Provide structured and detailed feedback/call reports to the Branch Manager.
  7. Promote, plan, and present training courses and product presentations diligently.
  8. Give feedback on competitors, pricing, new products, marketing, etc.
  9. Address/Raise product issues or concerns that arise with clients, and ensure that queries are properly addressed and that feedback is given to the relevant parties.
  10. Research leads for new clients for Company products and make successful contact.
  11. Ensure that you are up to date with new and existing products.
  12. Assist with internal sales/training (processing of orders, handling queries, and customer complaints, etc.).
  13. Check and ensure that existing and potential clients' details are correct and updated on Zoho CRM.
  14. Contribute to the team effort by participating in the morning MBU meetings and ensuring that all departments are seen in a "good light" by our clients, by addressing issues and ensuring that there is excellent inter-departmental communication.
  15. Assist the technical department with an occasional site visit to assess a product failure or incorrect installation only upon approval of the Manager.
  16. Process quotes and invoices for clients on SAP.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in the sales environment (selling, negotiations, promotional activities).
  2. Technical orientation (electronic/mechanical).
  3. Computer literate (MS Office Suite) with some exposure to a recognized ERP system.
  4. In possession of a valid driver's license.
  5. Able to work overtime if and when required.
  6. A minimum of matric with a basic knowledge and/or understanding of both electronic or mechanical equipment - at least 1-2 years experience in a technical sales environment.
