Job description

As an External Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving the sales of our clients' printed carton board packaging solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, particularly in the packaging industry, with a focus on carton board or related products.

Your primary responsibility will be to identify and secure new business opportunities while nurturing and expanding relationships with existing clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory. Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and customer needs.
  2. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients. Understand client requirements and propose suitable packaging solutions. Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  3. Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed targets. Collaborate with the sales team to optimize overall sales performance.
  4. Product Knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of our printed carton board packaging products and services. Stay updated on industry developments and product advancements.
  5. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular reports on sales activities, progress, and challenges. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.

Skills and Competencies

  1. Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.
  2. Qualifications in Business, Marketing, or a related field are preferred.
  3. Proven experience in sales, preferably in the packaging industry.
  4. Familiarity with printed carton board packaging or related carton/corrugated board products is highly advantageous.
  5. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  6. Results-driven with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  8. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
