Job Overview

This job requires passion, commitment, and the drive to succeed.

You will be developing and maintaining relationships with customers in several industries, which means you need to be a focused, proactive self-starter, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Additionally, you're a service provider, as well as a customer advocate within Fawkes Thermal Manufacturing (Pty) LTD. You'll use your skills to develop and close new business, grow existing business, rejuvenate business, and support your team with feedback, knowledge shared, and other collaterals.

Above all, you will be responsible for achieving your sales and customer satisfaction targets.

Duties & Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To co-ordinate and manage, on a day-to-day basis, customer accounts (orders, queries, quotes, and deliveries) and ensure that objectives are adhered to and met.

Be able to present our group and company as well as its solutions and services to prospects.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and cold calling.
  2. Exceed the target set in terms of turnover.
  3. Meet the targets set by Fawkes Thermal Manufacturing.
  4. Manage all aspects and outcomes of the company's customer activities.
  5. Maintain customer accounts.
  6. Drive customer service excellence in the assigned region.
  7. Promote / sell / secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
  8. Generate additional business through customer acquisition in line with the company's objectives.
  9. Acquire referrals and engage in networking activities.
  10. Grow customer accounts in terms of order volume and frequency.
  11. Manage customers from acquisition through maintenance and growth, with emphasis on attention to detail.
  12. Seek opportunities to develop additional business through opportunity analysis and identification.
  13. Maintain and develop contact, follow-ups on networking opportunities.
  14. Meet with alternate customer supplier representatives and arrange joint presentations, workshops, and educational activities.
  15. Identify new pattern opportunities and rejuvenate commissioning of existing / unused patterns.
Relationship Management

Building and maintaining relationships with customers at all levels within the customer company.

Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.

Administrative Activities
  1. Generation of effective account status and visit reports.
  2. Weekly status meetings and / or feedback.
  3. Drafting and submission of review documents for accounts, including quotes, orders, production, and product delivery.
  4. Audit and quality control new orders.
  5. Travel nationally when required or requested to do so.
  6. Attend sales and production meetings.
  7. Attend customer and supplier meetings.
  8. Plan and organise personal sales strategy by maximising the return on time investment for the territory / segment.
  9. Assist with any promotions and events.
  10. Review and manage : Quotes, Orders, and Project Tracking.
Processes

Facilitate and co-ordinate internal processes and procedures required to service customer accounts.

Fully understand the company's systems and processes and the management of day-to-day activity relating to customer accounts.

Service and Customer Satisfaction
  1. Take full responsibility / ownership and accountability for sale and customer satisfaction and service delivery within the assigned customer base.
  2. Have a full understanding of customer needs and requirements.
  3. Proactively address customer's needs.
  4. Take full ownership of customer queries, issues, and complaints and ensure that they are appropriately dealt with and satisfactorily resolved.
  5. Ensure effective response rate to customer requests and requirements.
  6. Develop professional relationships with key customers.
  7. Drive the establishment and maintenance of close contact and relationships with customers through the sales team and ensure customer satisfaction.
  8. Manage, co-ordinate, feedback and report on Customer Satisfaction Surveys.
Desired Experience & Qualification

Engineering degree is advantageous but not required.

Technical sales experience of no less than two years is required.

Own car required.
