Job description

Our client based in Johannesburg is looking for an External Sales Representative to be responsible for generating leads and meeting sales goals for their 4x4 division.

Duties will include:

  1. Sales presentations and product demonstrations
  2. Negotiating contracts with potential clients
  3. Contacting clients to understand their requirements and working on a sales plan
  4. Providing after-sales support to retain customers
  5. Ensuring prompt and accurate answers to clients' queries
  6. Building strong client relationships through regular communication
  7. Reporting on the status of customer accounts
  8. Suggesting company products/services that maximize client satisfaction
  9. Coordinating with Account Executives and Account Managers to create customized sales plans for key clients
  10. Promoting new products/services to existing customers
  11. Conducting market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs
  12. Actively seeking out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media
  13. Setting up meetings with potential clients and listening to their wishes and concerns
  14. Preparing and delivering appropriate presentations on products and services
  15. Ensuring the availability of stock for sales and demonstrations
  16. Negotiating/closing deals and handling complaints or objections
  17. Collaborating with team members to achieve better results
  18. Gathering feedback from customers or prospects and sharing with sales teams and management

Key Attributes:

  1. Proven experience as an External Sales Executive
  2. Technical drawing, suspension, or mechanical experience would be an advantage
  3. Understanding of sales principles and ability to deliver excellent customer service
  4. Strong (verbal and written) communication skills with an ability to build relationships
  5. Effective presentation and negotiation skills
  6. High degree of professionalism
  7. Good time-management skills with a problem-solving attitude
  8. Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  9. Fast learner and passion for sales

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Matric
  2. Driver's license
  3. Understanding of 4x4 vehicles and 4x4 accessories
  4. Computer literacy
  5. Clear credit and criminal history
