A leading security solutions provider is looking for an External Sales Person in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a background in technical sales, experience with SAP, and a strong understanding of electronic security. Responsibilities include maintaining client relationships, visiting partners, and preparing sales reports. A minimum matric and 2-3 years in a technical sales environment are required.
EXTERNAL SALES PERSON - JOHANNESBURG, KYA SANDS
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for expanding the portfolio of clients for the region, as well as ensuring continued sales and support with existing CENTURION customers.
Main Responsibilities:
• Maintaining and developing strong relationships with existing clientele and strategic partners, providing support, information and guidance.
• Visiting strategic partners and existing clientele regularly, ensuring that our service levels are met.
• Identifying and visiting commercial sites (Complexes, Business developments, Office parks, etc.) to set up meetings and present access control solutions to the relevant stakeholders.
• Drawing and preparing sales reports from SAP.
• Providing structured and detailed feedback /call reports to the Branch Manager.
• Promoting, planning and presenting training courses and product presentations diligently.
• Giving feedback on competitors, pricing, new products, marketing, etc.
• Addressing product issues that arise with clientele, and ensuring that queries are properly addressed and that feedback is given to the relevant parties.
• Ensuring that you are up to date with new and existing products.
• Assisting the technical department with an occasional site visit to assess a product failure or incorrect installation.
• Classifying strategic partners using the Centurion Systems qualifying criteria.
• Identifying strategic partner activity to enable partner growth.
• Assisting with ad-hoc duties from time to time, such as stocktakes and deliveries.
• Strategic partner Activities include, but not limited to:
o Financial management
o Human Resources
o Marketing and promotions
o Training
o Geographical area growth
o General business development
Qualifications and other Requirements:
• A minimum of matric with a sound knowledge and/or understanding of both electronic or mechanical equipment.
• At least 2-3 years’ experience in a technical sales environment with a proven track record.
• A Sound understanding of the electronic security environment/industry.
• Formal sales training will be advantageous.
• A general understanding of the everyday running of a small to medium-sized business.
• Experience in SAP will be advantageous.
