Job description

The Building Company is the Southern African group of companies trading in the retail and wholesale of building materials and related hardware products.

We are looking for an External Sales Executive to join our team and drive sales growth through proactive engagement and excellent service. We are growing nationwide across Gauteng, North West, Limpopo, and Free State, and you can be a part of it!

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Expand the customer base through cold calling, structured client visits, and positive market representation.
  2. Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets.
  3. Follow up on orders and quotations to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  4. Handle customer queries and resolve issues effectively.
  5. Manage sales processes and administrative functions efficiently.
  6. Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
  7. Provide expert advice and alternative solutions to customers.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  1. Proven experience in external sales, preferably in hardware and/or building materials.
  2. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  3. Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  4. Target-driven with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  6. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
