We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Sales Engineer to promote and sell our products and services in Southern Africa.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in meeting with potential and existing clients, negotiating contracts, and developing long-term customer relationships.
This role requires frequent travel within assigned territories and the ability to identify new sales opportunities while maintaining outstanding customer service.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Travel to assigned territories to meet with potential and existing clients, negotiate sales contracts, and promote products and services.
- Actively identify and cultivate new sales opportunities within the industry.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients by providing excellent support and service, promoting customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Conduct cold calling, generate new leads, and establish new business relationships.
- Recommend marketing strategies tailored to specific regions or demographics.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and client meetings to identify sales opportunities and strengthen existing client relationships.
- Investigate client complaints, develop solutions, and prepare reports with recommendations for management.
- Negotiate and close sales deals while ensuring adherence to company pricing and profitability guidelines.
- Build a strong network of contacts to aid in sales and business development.
- Serve as the main point of contact between the company and clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Recommend improvements to the sales team to optimize performance and boost sales results.
- Maintain a professional company image at all times and address client queries promptly and effectively.
- Handle various technology and equipment necessary for fulfilling job requirements.
- Assist with customer account management and ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless processing and delivery of orders and resolve any issues with order status.
- Coordinate with logistics and finance departments for timely delivery, accurate invoicing, and preparation of COD packs.
- Liaise with suppliers to find items requested by clients, whether through known suppliers or alternative sources.
- Prepare and submit sales forecasts (pipeline) to management for review.
- Manage daily administrative responsibilities such as updating client ratings and maintaining accurate sales records.
- Submit regular reports such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly activity reports.
- Attend training sessions, sales meetings, and company-wide meetings as required.
- Ensure cloud-based documents (pipeline, client ratings, etc.) are maintained.
