External Audit Senior - Assurance

Rakoma and Associates Inc. is looking for Senior Auditors for our Assurance service line.

ADDRESS: Willow Wood Office Park Block D, Cnr 3rd Ave & Cedar Rd, Johannesburg. Must be willing to travel nationally.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum of a Bcom with at least 1-year senior audit experience.
2. Completed articles with an external audit firm.
3. Exposure to MFMA or PFMA is an advantage.
4. A minimum of 1 year working experience in AFS preparations and audit support.
5. A minimum of 1 year working experience in CaseWare (AFS and fixed assets register preparation).
6. Knowledge and experience of accounting systems such as Pastel Partner.
7. Computer literacy with sound knowledge of full MS Office suite with specific experience using Caseware and Excel.
8. Proven working experience in reconciliations.

DUTIES:

1. Plan and oversee the auditing process.
2. Allocate responsibilities to junior and staff auditors.
3. Review team members' work for accuracy and compliance.
4. Perform effective risk and control assessments.
5. Complete audits on time and submit reports to auditing manager.
6. Present audit findings and find ways to increase compliance and efficiency.
7. Coordinate periodical audits.
8. Prepare audit reports including the audit findings and appropriate corrective actions initiated for top management.
9. Ensure best practices, standards, and procedures of the company in all audit operations.
10. You will be required to travel to other regions to conduct assignments.
11. Assist with the tender preparation.
12. Perform external audit related admin tasks as assigned by the Partner.

SALARY: Market Related
