Job summary

A leading energy solutions company based in Johannesburg is seeking a B2B Sales Manager to develop and implement commercial strategies in the SADC region. The role requires proven sales experience in the electromechanical sector, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to business development. Frequent travel within the SADC region is expected. The ideal candidate should possess excellent command of English and a background in technical or commercial disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in the electromechanical sector.
  • Experience managing international markets, ideally in African contexts.
  • Excellent knowledge of English; knowledge of local languages a plus.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the SADC region.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the commercial strategy in the SADC markets.
  • Manage and grow the existing customer portfolio.
  • Identify new business partners and sales opportunities.
  • Provide technical and commercial support on the product portfolio.
  • Conduct negotiations, prepare commercial offers, and manage sales processes.
  • Participate in industry trade shows and training sessions for clients.
  • Monitor assigned markets and competitor activities.
  • Coordinate order management in collaboration with internal teams.

  • Develop and implement the commercial strategy in the SADC markets (Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Botswana, etc.);
  • Manage and grow the existing customer portfolio, with a strong focus on customer retention and business development;
  • Identify new business partners and sales opportunities
  • Provide technical and commercial support on the product portfolio;
  • Conduct negotiations, prepare commercial offers, and manage complex sales processes;
  • Participate in industry trade shows, client visits, presentations, and training sessions for clients and partners;
  • Continuously monitor assigned markets and competitor activities;
  • Coordinate order management in collaboration with internal teams.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in the electromechanical sector or similar industries (industrial machinery, plants, energy);
  • Demonstrated experience in managing international markets, ideally in African or emerging market contexts;
  • Excellent knowledge of English (knowledge of additional local languages will be considered a plus);
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the SADC region;
  • Educational background in technical or commercial disciplines (or equivalent);
  • Excellent command of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);
  • Valid category B driving license
