Export & Logistics Manager

Our client, a prestigious wine farm situated in Helshoogte, Stellenbosch, is seeking an Export & Logistics Manager with excellent planning, organisational, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to multitask under pressure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall supply chain management, including managing production schedules, organising and monitoring storage, and overseeing the distribution of goods.

Duties will include:

1. Managing storage of wine (including estate outlets)
2. Planning and scheduling labelling and related administration
3. Managing dry goods stock
4. Coordinating export and logistics processes for local and international shipments
5. Preparing documentation related to export and domestic shipments (e.g., Wine online / SAWIS)
6. Handling logistics administration
7. Sending samples and loading consignments with associated administration
8. Supervising cellar and warehouse staff
9. Managing relationships with agents, governmental departments, freight forwarders, and distributors
10. Maintaining communication with logistics and distribution partners
11. Providing export quotations via air, sea, and road, and handling other related requests
12. Assisting with import/export logistics operations outside the wine department
13. Performing other related tasks as required

Minimum Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Logistics or a related field
• 4-5 years' experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of wine online systems, SAWIS documentation, and export regulations
• Strong computer skills, especially MS Office (Excel)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transport (forklift license advantageous)
