Job description

National Diploma in Logistics / Supply Chain Management is advantageous. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position.

Thorough understanding of logistics / shipping processes, especially in exports. Knowledge of international shipping and customs clearance procedures. Excellent business communication skills.

Proficient in MS Office.

Ability to work under pressure.

Basic understanding of Incoterms. Behavioural dimensions required: honest and hardworking.

Passionate about getting things done right, first time, every time.

Ability to work efficiently on own or as part of a team in a highly pressurised environment.

Meticulous attention to detail.

Flexible in terms of working hours (overtime and weekend work when required).

Subscribe to the principle of a place for everything and everything in its place.

Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency.

Key Performance Areas
  • Assist the Shipping & Logistics Manager with various duties as assigned.
  • Check and verify invoices to ensure alignment with agreed terms and pricing.
  • Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Track shipments and maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
  • Arrange sample shipments with couriers.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure adherence to customs regulations.
  • Assist with filing, reporting, and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Maintain a neat and tidy work environment.
