Job Responsibilities

1. Continuously monitor and provide feedback to the relevant Regional Manager on market intelligence, which forms the base for identifying key strategic issues facing customer portfolios.
2. Compile and maintain Key Account Management Plans (KAMP) using the Sales Process consistent with the AECI Mining strategy and objectives.
3. Differentiate AECI MINING service and products by identifying and implementing value-adding activities beneficial to all customers (including non-business customers such as CIE and IOM and AECI Mining).
4. Set and implement KAMPs to ensure achievement of market and sales objectives.
5. Establish long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at individual mines.
6. Provide excellent service on all aspects of explosive and accessory products and their uses, including auditing product application and performance underground, and providing recommendations to correct deficiencies. Handle customer complaints swiftly and competently to ensure satisfaction.
7. Determine and prepare the product sales budget, and in conjunction with the Regional Manager, decide on the appropriate product mix to maximize trading profit, market share, and other business parameters. Measure achievement using the balanced scoreboard and market share metrics.
8. Compile the annual operating cost budget and submit it to the Regional Manager for approval. Monitor costs monthly through the balanced scoreboard and operate within the approved budget, providing justification for any over-expenditure.
9. Ensure compliance with AECI Mining Safe Working Practices, the OSH Act, the Explosives Act, and the Minerals Act.
