Exploration Geologist

We’re looking for a curious and motivated Exploration Geologist to join our team and help uncover the potential beneath the surface. In this role, you’ll plan and execute sampling programs—collecting soil, rock, and drill samples to determine mineral presence and potential. You’ll analyze and interpret data, create maps and models, and provide valuable insights to guide future exploration strategies.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or a related field – Essential

• Postgraduate Qualification (e.g., B.Sc. Honours or equivalent) – Essential

• M.Sc. in Geology or related discipline – Preferred

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of operational experience in Exploration Services

• 1–2 years of experience in Core Logging and Sampling at an operational level

• 1–2 years of experience in People Management with demonstrated leadership capabilities

Key Requirements:

• Experience in core logging and sampling across various commodities

• Ability to execute soil sampling programs within set timeframes

• Proficient in GIS for displaying, georeferencing, and digitizing maps

• Skilled in displaying soil geochemistry and drilling data in 3D using Leapfrog

• Ensure technical work aligns with SAMREC/JORC codes and MSA/client HSE policies

• Solid understanding of drilling techniques and methodologies

• Capable of managing due diligence drilling, including core collection, recovery assessment, and orientation checks

• Experience with ISO 9001 implementation and maintenance

• Ability to identify and resolve QAQC issues effectively

• Competent in report writing, data entry, and general project administration
