Job description

Experienced Manager - Audit and Assurance Reporting

1. Purpose of the position
To primarily provide technical assurance and audit reporting services, assistance, and training to KPMG partners and staff (audit, tax, and advisory) across the Africa region, supporting the broader audit and assurance team.

2. Key roles and responsibilities

1. Researching and responding to assurance, audit, and review reporting queries for KPMG staff and clients in accordance with International Standards of Auditing (ISA's), ISAE, ISRE, the International Standards Reporting Manual (ISRM), locally issued South African Auditing Practice Standards (SAAPS), and JSE reporting guide.
2. Reviewing reports submitted to DPP by engagement teams and liaising with these teams regarding the reports.
3. Assisting with the preparation and delivery of accounting updates and training on ISA's, ISRM, and SAAPS for KPMG partners, staff, and clients throughout the African region.
4. Staying current with developments in local standards and ISA's through internal research and participation in local topic teams.
5. Supporting monthly compliance reviews to ensure training effectiveness and achievement of objectives.
