Your Purpose
The Exercise Experience Manager is about building vibrant, inclusive communities that motivate members to reach their wellness goals.
You will be the guide, ensuring members discover suitable products, services, and fitness tribes.
Creating engaging, personalized experiences is key to fostering loyalty and excitement among members.
Your Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruitment, Onboarding & Retention: Curate a passionate team of fitness professionals, recruit talented instructors, and facilitate their induction and ongoing development.
- Team Management & Development: Develop and nurture a high-performing team, providing coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities.
- Community Building & Instructor Support: Foster a sense of belonging among instructors, manage CPD points, and support class preparations.
- Delivering Exceptional Group Exercise Experiences: Lead by example in delivering memorable classes, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and studio functionality.
- Group Exercise Focus: Manage class schedules, boost participation through events, and optimize offerings based on data insights.
- Member Social Wellness: Promote all club offerings and manage initiatives to increase engagement and participation.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure functional, inspiring exercise spaces, uphold safety standards, and manage staffing schedules.
- Marketing & Community Building: Execute marketing campaigns, promote offerings, and keep the community engaged.
- Data Analysis & Performance Tracking: Monitor attendance and engagement, analyze trends, and implement improvements.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric qualification
- Recognized Fitness Qualification
- At least 5 years of experience in the fitness industry
- Minimum 3 years managing exercise experiences in a health club or similar
- 2-3 years managing people/teams
- Exceptional leadership skills
- Passion for wellness industry
- Strong team player and collaborator
