Job description

Main Purpose

Identify and maximise potential growth opportunities for existing and new products by analysing and understanding the market and competitive landscape. Broaden current marketing activities and promotional support for DFA to better serve key customers and attract new segments. Own a revenue target for the enterprise and new product portfolio. Engage in strategic projects on behalf of the Chief Strategy Officer.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities (Key Performance Areas & Tasks)

Product Management & Strategy

  • Work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer on strategic projects.
  • Lead the development of business conferences to enable investment decisions.
  • Represent DFA at public conferences.
  • Identify and fill product gaps, generate new ideas to grow market share, improve customer experience, and drive growth.
  • Create buy-in for the product vision internally and with external partners.
  • Develop product pricing strategies through stakeholder engagement.
  • Define and implement product positioning strategies.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed plans.
  • Prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Department to deliver products timely and optimize resources.
  • Drive product launches, coordinating with PR, executives, technical teams, sales, and others.
  • Implement promotional plans aligned with product strategy and DFA’s overarching goals.
  • Act as a product evangelist internally and externally to build awareness.
  • Visit customers to gather feedback on products and services.
  • Develop promotional materials for product launches, including press releases, presentations, and sales tools.
  • Lead competitive marketing campaigns to enhance market share and profitability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on selling, pricing, market development, and solutions.
  • Design and execute market research to assess customer attitudes towards current and new products.

People Management

  • Onboard new staff efficiently.
  • Set performance targets and clarify efforts needed to achieve them.
  • Explain how individual roles contribute to strategic objectives.
  • Support, coach, and mentor team members.
  • Establish standards for behavior and performance.
  • Assess performance regularly and provide constructive feedback.
  • Counsel staff on behavioral issues.
  • Recognize and reward good performance.
  • Encourage adherence to company values.
  • Develop individual development plans aligned with employee and business needs.
  • Assign developmental opportunities based on interests and needs.
  • Manage team performance, promote cohesion, and address issues as needed.
  • Lead team meetings to communicate updates and manage direction.
  • Retain high performers.
