Job description

A vacancy exists for an Enrolled Nurse based at Life Fourways Hospital, reporting to the Unit Manager, Thenjiwe Ntuli.

The purpose of this role is to conduct nursing activities to ensure quality patient care.

Position

Enrolled Nurse | Medical Introduction

Critical Outputs
  1. Conduct duties to meet the requirements of quality patient care, ensuring that all nursing activities carried out comply with SANC regulations, relevant legislations and Life Healthcare policies and procedures.
  2. Maintain all health, safety and infection control standards to ensure a safe patient environment.
  3. Effective utilization of resources.
  4. Effective maintenance of equipment.
  5. Accurate record keeping.
  6. The continued education of patients.
  7. Build effective relationships with patients, doctors and other medical personnel to ensure quality patient care.
  8. Assist in the management of stock in the unit.
Requirements
  1. Matric Certificate.
  2. Registered as an Enrolled Nurse with SANC.
  3. 1-2 years' experience.
  4. Ability to work shifts according to the operational requirements of the hospital, which includes day and night duty.
  5. Computer proficiency.
  6. Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage.
  7. Ability to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment.
  8. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  9. Ability to work in a team.
