Mintek offers an exciting career opportunity for an Executive Manager (Information and Communication Technology). The candidate will be responsible for enabling operational excellence through ICT leadership. All qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply.

• Develop, implement, and evolve Mintek’s ICT strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Develop and execute a technology roadmap supporting Mintek’s strategy.
• Ensure strategic resourcing and ICT transformation, including adoption of emerging technologies like AI, machine learning, and data science.

Governance

• Create and enforce an ICT governance framework complying with regulations and policies.
• Define decision rights and ensure compliance with ICT legislation and vendor agreements.

Services

• Oversee daily ICT operations, including infrastructure, networks, cloud, and enterprise systems.
• Ensure operational excellence and data management across the organization.
• Drive process re-engineering, automation, and stability of systems.
• Implement disaster recovery and security measures.

Technology Leadership

• Lead organizational change and support strategy implementation.
• Develop strategies for data science, AI, and machine learning to enhance decision-making.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies like Big Data, IoT, and cloud computing.
• Foster strategic relationships with HPC facilities and apply knowledge of mining technologies.
• Support change management and stakeholder engagement during technological shifts.

Data

• Implement data tools for research support, including data mining and analytics.
• Promote the use of analytics and AI to improve processes and performance.
• Ensure proper data storage, processing, and security principles are followed.

Soft Skills

• Effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Leadership in managing and developing IT teams.

Education

• BSc in ICT or related field.
• Postgraduate Diploma or Honours in ICT.
• Master’s Degree preferred; PhD is an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years ICT experience.
• 5-7 years leadership experience.
