Aon South Africa is recruiting an Executive Head: Large Clients & Broking to join our Executive Committee in Sandton. The role is responsible for the growth strategy in the Large Client Segment (including the Aon Global Client Network). The role provides overall leadership of Broking and Client Relationships Management by developing and leading the execution of growth strategies including organic and inorganic growth, investment and innovation as well as delivery of Aon United strategies and global service standards.

What the day will look likeDeveloping, leading and managing the implementation of multi-year time horizon business planning for the Large Client Business Segment.
Leading and developing the teams to achieve revenue targets consistent with Aon SA strategic and annual targets.
To deliver excellence in client relationships, retention and growth of existing accounts and provide robust client promise and development plans.
New business growth and development, to include tender management and being part of bid teams as and when required
Engaging in cross-business initiatives with other geographies and or solution lines in order to achieve business objectives.
Implementing ongoing initiatives to remain informed and on par in respect of the insurance market in South Africa and elsewhere.
Ensuring that business conduct within the divisions is consistent with the standards of business conduct required by Aon as well as legislative and regulatory prescripts.
Leads carrier relationships to ensure clients receive solutions that exceed their needs.
Partners across all other solution lines including Reinsurance and other sales channels to implement strategies to acquire new clients and grow existing client accounts
Contributing to and participating in Aon wide senior executive groups, and may input into Global Broking Strategy
Develop a team; effectively delivering results through hiring within the regional framework, coaching & mentoring, performance management, talent and compensation reviews.
Establishing key performance targets and financial budgets for the business units to optimise business performance in line with set objectives
Modelling strong leadership behaviours and ensuring an engaged and inspired workforce to improve colleague development, engagement and retention.
Manages solution line capacity and resources against opportunities, partnering with other leads, Finance and the People Org.
