Job summary

Vodafone Group Plc is seeking a Regulatory Strategy Lead to shape its digital regulatory strategies. This role involves advocating for policies supporting Vodacom's transformation into a digital leader while ensuring compliance with regulations related to data privacy and cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in regulatory roles, strong analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills. Qualifications

  • 8-10 years' experience in regulatory/technology roles, with at least 5 years in management.
  • Experience in digital transformation, data privacy, or cybersecurity regulation is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the implementation of Vodacom's digital regulatory strategies and plans.
  • Analyse proposed policies, laws, regulations, and codes to assess their impact on Vodacom's digital services, revenues, and business models.
  • Prepare submissions to regulatory bodies such as ICASA, DTPS, and others.
  • Provide digital regulatory guidance to internal stakeholders, including BU's, EXCO, and the Board.
  • Ensure regulatory digital compliance across the company.
  • Support company strategy and risk mitigation initiatives through regulatory digital support.
  • Engage and influence external digital regulatory stakeholders like ICASA, ComCom, etc.
  • Collaborate with Vodacom and Vodafone stakeholders on digital regulatory issues related to strategy and digital business functions.
  • Participate in enterprise technical regulatory councils and advisory panels locally and internationally.

Role Purpose / Business Unit: To shape and oversee Vodacom's regulatory strategy in the digital and technological domain.

To advocate for policies that support Vodacom's ambitions to become a leading Digital TechCo while ensuring compliance with digital policies, data privacy, cybersecurity regulations, and emerging technology frameworks.

Your responsibilities will include:
