Job description

Seeds of Learning Early Care and Education Center (SOL)

Seeds of Learning Early Care and Education Center (SOL), an NAEYC accredited childcare center, is accepting applications for their Executive Director position in Pagosa Springs, CO, serving children ages 2 ½-5 years.

The Executive Director is responsible for providing management, leadership, and integrity in the operations of SOL.

The Executive Director will manage all aspects of the program, including:

  1. ECE legal and fiscal components
  2. Staff management
  3. Educational programming
  4. Professional development
  5. Operations and facilities management
  6. Stakeholder relations
  7. Fundraising

They will serve as a model for family support through family-centered practices.

In collaboration with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will implement forward-thinking policies and procedures aligned with the program's vision, philosophy, mission, and goals of growth and best practices in Early Childhood Education.

The ED should be committed to continuous quality improvement, incorporating input from families and staff.

Effective communication skills, both oral and written, are essential, along with proficiency in current computer technology. Knowledge of budget management is required, and grant writing experience is preferred.
