POSITION INFO

Site Security Liaison - Raw Material / Stores

Accountable for operation of own work area or as a member of a team, as well as for quality, standards, and outputs within defined work routines and policies.

Job Purpose

The purpose is to verify loading and unloading of Product to ensure accuracy of stock being dispatched and received while maintaining our governance and Customer service standards.

Key Accountabilities and Outputs

  1. Effective stock quality management
  2. Effective inventory management
  3. Participation in checking of loads
  4. Maintain clear and effective communication with Regional Logistics Manager, Warehouse Controller, and Warehouse Supervisor.
  5. Maintain detailed records of security activities and incidents; provide regular updates to the Regional Logistics manager.
  6. Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and procedures.
  7. Accurate checking, loading, and unloading of vehicles
  8. Independent check conducted of all loads to ensure correct quantities of split and full pallets
  9. Accurate recording of returns
  10. Maintain clear and effective communication with Warehouse Supervisor and other team members
  11. All documentation accurately and comprehensively checked and verified
  12. Conversant with relevant business information, policies, processes, and procedures

Health, Safety, and Environment

  1. Site housekeeping standards maintained and adhered to
  2. Appropriate personal protective equipment used as designated by site safety standards
  3. Collaborate with different departments to develop and implement security protocols and procedures.
  4. Adherence to Food Safety Requirements
  5. Commitment to The Beverage Company's Food Safety policy and its objectives
  6. Ability to understand and implement all food safety requirements
  7. Adherence to and the enforcement of Food Safety Policies, SOPs, and PRPs
  8. Compliance with PPE requirements including jewellery policy
  9. Compliance with personal hygiene requirements in accordance with the organisations code of practice
  10. Active engagement in all training including competency testing
  11. Regular practice of hand washing and sanitising
  12. Prevention of cross-contamination of products - no allergens allowed in the manufacturing facility
  13. Responsible for raising any food safety risk to the relevant personnel such as the Team Leader or Food Safety personnel
  14. Reporting of any illness or communicable disease before the commencement of shift
  15. Compliance with all legal, regulatory, and customer requirements
  16. Enforce GMPs and conduct themselves in a manner conducive with food safety practices
  17. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and hygiene of equipment, facilities, and work environment
  18. Informed and vigilant on food defense and food fraud risks
  19. Promote, encourage and continuously grow the organisations food safety culture
  20. Maintain zero compromise on product quality and safety
  21. Collaborate with internal food safety team to realise the organisations goals of retaining GFSI certification and continuous improvement

Qualifications and Experience

  1. Matric / NQF level 4
  2. 2-4 years FMCG experience
  3. MS Excel; E-Mail
