The Role: Events Coordinator
As Events Coordinator, you will be at the heart of planning and executing memorable events, ranging from weddings to corporate functions. This client-facing role involves guiding guests through every step of the planning process while ensuring operational teams are set up to deliver flawless execution. Based at a luxury retreat in Knysna, you will combine creativity, precision, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with clients to understand their event goals and preferences

  • Plan and coordinate event logistics in collaboration with internal departments

  • Assist in achieving event-related sales targets

  • Support guest accommodation, dining, and custom requirements for events

  • Oversee event execution and ensure all standards are met

  • Maintain accurate records of client communication, budgets, and bookings

  • Provide on-the-day event support to ensure a seamless experience

About You

  • 3 -5 years of experience in hospitality or events coordination

  • Excellent client service and communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)

  • A diploma or degree in Hospitality or Event Management is advantageous
