Job summary

Placements24 is seeking flexible, service‑oriented Event Catering Staff to support events across Randburg and surrounding areas on a contract basis. This role involves direct guest interaction and delivering high standards of hospitality at corporate events, private parties, and social gatherings.

You will be responsible for serving food and beverages, setting up and breaking down event spaces, clearing tables, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment for all attendees.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, catering, or customer service preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Physical stamina to stand long hours and lift/carry.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to guests.
• Set up event spaces, including tables, chairs, linens, and décor as per event plans.
• Clear tables, collect used tableware, and maintain the cleanliness of the event area.
• Assist with replenishing food and beverage stations, ensuring they are presentable and well-stocked.
• Break down event setups post-event, including packing away equipment and tidying.
• Adhere to hygiene, safety, and service standards set by the client.
