Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a part-time Cleaner to join our team at Sedgefield Community College. You will perform general cleaning across on-site areas, ensuring high standards, safety compliance and customer-friendly service.

Role involves afternoon shifts Monday to Friday, with a focus on reliability, attention to detail and collaborative work within a facilities management environment. DBS checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in general cleaning duties in commercial/public settings or similar.
• Good understanding of cleaning methods, equipment and materials.
• Awareness of health and safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, dusting and waste disposal.
• Clean welfare areas, offices and washrooms to the required standard.
• Replenish consumables such as toilet paper, towels and soap.
• Follow health & safety, COSHH and cleaning procedures at all times.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and report maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Maintain professional and courteous interactions with customers and colleagues.
