Placements24 is seeking a skilled Penetration Tester to join the security team in Port Elizabeth. The role focuses on identifying vulnerabilities in networks, applications, and systems through simulated cyber-attacks, with emphasis on practical exploit techniques and proactive defense.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in offensive security, familiarity with Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux, and holds relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on Penetration Testing or offensive security experience.
• Certifications such as OSCP/CEH/GPEN/CISSP are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive penetration tests on networks, web/mobile apps, and internal systems.
• Identify, exploit, and document vulnerabilities with detailed remediation guidance.
• Perform social engineering attacks (physical and digital) to test human weaknesses.
• Analyze results and produce clear reports outlining findings, risks, and mitigations.
• Collaborate with Dev and IT ops to ensure timely remediation.
• Stay updated on the latest testing techniques and threat landscapes.
