Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Freight Forwarding & Clearing.
- High level of computer literacy and knowledge of transport modes.

- Negotiate rates with third parties and assist the Business Development team.

Job Responsibilities
- Compile estimates according to client & agent requirements for all transport modes, both imports and exports.
- Request landside & freight charges from agents and service providers worldwide.
- Ensure that the estimate charges correspond to client rates in CargoWise and Forwarding Instructions.
- Perform quality checks on estimates on a continuous basis.
- Maintain knowledge of Customs Tariffs and Port Charges.
- Forward estimates to the relevant sales or client services representative for quality check before sending to the client.
- Save approved estimates in Excel format under the client EDOCS tab in CargoWise.
- Provide administrative support as needed.
- Assist the Business Development team with their daily activities.
- Maintain and update client rate schedules.
- Communicate buy and sell rates to operations.
- Negotiate rates with third parties.
- Apply for necessary costs from agents or third-party suppliers when rates are not on file.
- Complete tenders according to client & agent requirements for all transport modes, both imports and exports.
- Negotiate rates with carriers/agents during tenders to ensure competitive pricing with acceptable profit margins.
- Follow up on tenders to determine if WorldNet was successful.
- Handle estimate or rate queries and communicate amendments to all involved parties.
Knowledge & Experience
- Matric or equivalent certification.
- High level of computer literacy.
- Knowledge of all transport modes – Air, Ocean, & Road.
- Sound knowledge of Incoterms 2010.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Freight Forwarding & Clearing.
